Two security screening staff members were injured after a passenger's licensed pistol accidentally discharged during a mandatory weapons check at Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. The passenger, travelling to Mumbai via Air India Express, had declared the weapon prior to screening. Authorities are currently investigating the security breach to determine the exact cause of the accidental firing.
