Former Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy launched a scathing attack on the state government over the proposed Bidadi Township project.
Highlighting the issue, HDK alleged that the NICE company looted thousands of acres under the BMIC project and failed to compensate farmers over the last 20 years. He referred to a letter by the Karnataka Governor suggesting the government reclaim 6,700 acres of unutilized land from the NICE project and divert it for the Bidadi Township to protect fertile agricultural lands. ನೈಸ್ (NICE) ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಬಿಎಮ್ಐಸಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಎಕರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಲೂಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಕಳೆದ 20 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಪರಿಹಾರವನ್ನೂ ನೀಡಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಕುಮಾರಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನೈಸ್ ವಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗದೆ ಉಳಿದಿರುವ 6,700 ಎಕರೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಜಮೀನನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ವಾಪಸ್ ಪಡೆದು ಬಿಡದಿ ಟೌನ್ಶಿಪ್ಗೆ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ ಎಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆದು ನೀಡಿದ ಸಲಹೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿ, 'ಬ್ರಾಂಡ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು' ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಲೂಟಿ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ವರದಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
