In a major relief to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Supreme Court has stayed the proceedings in the Allahabad High Court regarding a disproportionate assets case filed against him.
The Apex Court bench led by Chief Justice Surya Kant also restrained the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) from submitting any investigation reports to the High Court. The case was originally filed by Karnataka BJP worker S. Vignesh Shishir. Rahul Gandhi had challenged the High Court's directions, arguing that orders were passed without giving him an opportunity to be heard. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮೂಲದ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತ ವಿಘ್ನೇಶ್ ಶಿಶಿರ್ ಅವರು ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಆದಾಯದ ಮೂಲಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆಸ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅಲಹಾಬಾದ್ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಿಬಿಐ ವರದಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಇದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲೇರಿದ್ದರು. ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಕಾಂತ್ ಅವರ ಪೀಠವು, ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯದ ತತ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸದೆ ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿ, ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ನ ಮುಂದಿನ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ತಡೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ವಿವರ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ
