Mumbai, Maharashtra: In an exclusive chat with IANS, singer and musician Anoop Jalota spoke about the 6th death anniversary of late veteran vocalist Pandit Jasraj. He shared that Pandit Jasraj used to fondly call him 'Jamairaj' because his wife had learned music from him, and his father shared a close bond with the maestro. Anoop also recalled an event where Pandit Jasraj was so impressed by his bhajan that he honored him with a pearl necklace. Later in the conversation, the singer spoke about the incident on 15 August when Congress leader Sonia Gandhi stopped the national song Vande Mataram mid-singing. He concluded by wishing PM Narendra Modi on his birthday, and said he hopes he remains the nation's Prime Minister.
