Heavy rains in the Philippines caused by a southwest monsoon flooded many streets in Manila on Monday.
The main northern Luzon region has also been experiencing persistent rain.
Last week, over 12,000 people were displaced by floods and torrential rains, while several cities and towns in the north suspended classes on Friday and Saturday, disaster-response officials said Sunday. ( Video courtesy of Associated Press )
