Malaysia is looking at ways to make its tax system more progressive, including whether certain elements of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) can be incorporated into the existing Sales and Services Tax (SST), says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Prime Minister said SST would remain the basis of the current tax system, but certain GST features could be considered if they improved it.
On the probe into Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH), he said it is not limited to the period covered by the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI), with enforcement agencies free to look beyond 2020.
