The low-pressure area (LPA) being monitored east of Northern Luzon developed into a tropical depression Tuesday afternoon, August 18, and was named “Neneng” by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Neneng is the third tropical cyclone to develop inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this month, following Luis and Maymay.
