- I observed similarly framed scenes between "Empire" & the intro of Episode VI.
- Actor Robert Quarry (Professor Strock) worked with Rudy De Luca on vampire film The Return Of Count Yorga ('73). De Luca was a frequent collaborator with Mel Brooks, co-writing the screenplay for Dracula: Dead And Loving It. He played Pizza The Hutt's footsoldier / thug Vinnie in Spaceballs.
- De Luca is confirmed to be returning for the sequel Spaceballs 2 in 2027.
- Russ Tamblyn (Bill) worked with Ghostbusters actors: He was Chocki The Shark Man in Chris Elliott comedy Cabin Boy which co-starred Brian Doyle-Murray.
- Rick Moranis played Lord Helmet (a spoof of Darth Vader) in Spaceballs & was Louis in Ghostbusters.
- Jeffrey Combs (Andrew Paris) played a pizza shop worker in an episode of A Nightmare On Elm Street spinoff anthology TV series Freddy's Nightmares ("Love Stinks" S.1, E.17).
