Malacañang on Wednesday, Aug. 19, assured the public that the government will continue its response in areas severely affected by successive rains in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.
Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro said the measures include flood-control operations, monitoring of waterways and dams, preparations for possible health threats, and the delivery of assistance to affected residents. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has also ordered agencies to intensify their response to the continuing bad weather.
