Teasing is believed to be the motive behind the assault of a 15-year-old student at a secondary school in Shah Alam, said Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar.
He said the 17-year-old suspect, who attends the same school, was detained and remanded before being released on bail pending completion of the investigation papers.
Comm Shazeli added that police were awaiting an official medical report to determine the extent of the victim's injuries.
