Sta. Fe River floods govt buildings in San Marcelino, Zambales
The Sta. Fe River in the town of San Marcelino overflows again on Aug. 19, 2026, inundating local government facilities as continuous rainfall drenches the province. According to the San Marcelino Public Information Office, floodwaters measuring two to four feet deep entered the Sta. Fe barangay hall and multipurpose hall. About 800 residents were cut off and isolated since Aug. 9. when the swollen river breached a portion of the dike and washed away a bridge. Rescue and relief operations are ongoing.
