बंदी सिखों की रिहाई की मांग को लेकर कौमी इंसाफ मोर्चा ने आज 21 अगस्त को पंजाब बंद का आह्वान किया है... बंद सुबह 7 बजे से दोपहर 2 बजे तक रखा गया है। मोर्चे ने सजा पूरी कर चुके सिख कैदियों की रिहाई... 15 अगस्त के विरोध मार्च के दौरान पुलिस कार्रवाई और समर्थकों पर दर्ज मामलों को लेकर विरोध जताया है। बंद को कई सिख, किसान और सामाजिक संगठनों का समर्थन मिला है। स्कूल, कॉलेज, बाजार, दुकानें और परिवहन सेवाएं प्रभावित होने की संभावना है... जबकि अस्पताल, मेडिकल स्टोर और आपातकालीन सेवाओं को बंद से बाहर रखा गया है। सरकार और प्रशासन ने भी सुरक्षा और यातायात व्यवस्था पर नजर रखी है।

Punjab is observing a statewide bandh on August 21 after the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha called for a shutdown demanding the release of Sikh prisoners, commonly referred to as Bandi Singhs. The bandh is scheduled from 7 AM to 2 PM and has received support from several Sikh, farmer and social organisations. Markets, shops, educational institutions and public transport are expected to be affected in several areas. The protest also highlights opposition to police action during a march on August 15 and cases registered against supporters. Essential services such as hospitals, pharmacies and emergency services are expected to remain operational. Authorities are closely monitoring security and traffic conditions across Punjab.
