Political tensions intensified at Delhi’s Parliament Street Police Station when Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi arrived with student Sahil Lochav, who was allegedly injured in pellet gun firing, demanding that an FIR be registered. It is alleged that on July 20, police and the Rapid Action Force (RAF) used force against students protesting at Jantar Mantar over NEET and other issues. Claiming that no action was taken on Sahil’s complaint, Rahul Gandhi staged a sit-in outside the police station. The Congress has accused the police of refusing to register the complaint and provide details of the investigating officer. However, Delhi Police has denied the allegations of pellet gun use. The CRPF has also launched an internal inquiry into the incident.
दिल्ली के संसद मार्ग थाने में उस समय सियासी हलचल तेज हो गई, जब लोकसभा में नेता प्रतिपक्ष राहुल गांधी कथित पैलेट गन फायरिंग में घायल छात्र साहिल लोचव के साथ एफआईआर दर्ज कराने पहुँचे। आरोप है कि 20 जुलाई को जंतर-मंतर पर NEET समेत विभिन्न मुद्दों को लेकर प्रदर्शन कर रहे छात्रों पर पुलिस और RAF ने बल प्रयोग किया। साहिल की शिकायत पर कार्रवाई नहीं होने का आरोप लगाते हुए राहुल गांधी थाने के बाहर धरने पर बैठ गए। कांग्रेस ने पुलिस पर शिकायत दर्ज न करने और जांच अधिकारी की जानकारी नहीं देने का आरोप लगाया है। हालांकि, दिल्ली पुलिस पैलेट गन के इस्तेमाल के आरोपों से इनकार कर चुकी है। CRPF ने भी मामले की आंतरिक जांच शुरू की है। वहीं, सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने जंतर-मंतर की घटना की निष्पक्ष जांच के लिए पांच सदस्यीय हाई पावर एक्सपर्ट कमेटी गठित की है। अब सभी की नजर पुलिस की अगली कार्रवाई पर है।
