Türkiye has formally requested Interpol red notices for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli official Afek Moskovitch over alleged crimes linked to the Global Sumud Flotilla. Justice Minister Akın Gürlek said arrest warrants were issued by an Istanbul court on July 14, with documents forwarded to Turkish authorities and the Foreign Ministry. The case involves 35 defendants and allegations including crimes against humanity, genocide, unlawful deprivation of liberty, injury and torture. The flotilla was reportedly attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza when the alleged intervention occurred in international waters.
