Independence Day demonstration brought together nearly 100 systems, including ground robots, naval drones, interceptors, and F-16 and Mirage 2000 aircraft
Ukraine held the first parade dedicated to unmanned aerial, ground, and naval systems in the country’s history this Monday (24) in Kyiv. The demonstration took place during celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukrainian independence and highlighted how drones have taken on a central role within the structure of the Defense Forces.
According to information released by the Office of the President of Ukraine, nearly 100 Ukrainian-made systems took part in the presentation. The parade itself was held at dawn, without prior announcement and with no spectators on the streets, while footage was later shown during the official broadcast of the Independence Day celebrations.
The presentation was divided among land, water, and air. On Khreshchatyk Avenue, the main thoroughfare in central Kyiv, dozens of ground robotic systems designed for different missions were displayed, including reconnaissance, supply transport, support for combat units, and the evacuation of wounded service members from hard-to-reach areas.
