🌊 Dead fish. Rare “doomsday fish.” And a strange question from Scripture.
Mass fish deaths have made headlines in different parts of the world, while rare oarfish appearing near shorelines have once again sparked the nickname “doomsday fish.”
But here's where we need discernment:
Folklore is not prophecy.
Jesus said:
📖 Luke 21:25
The sea would be associated with distress and turmoil.
And Revelation describes a much more dramatic prophetic vision:
📖 Revelation 8:9
A third of the sea creatures die, and a third of the ships are destroyed.
But does today's fish mortality prove that Revelation is being fulfilled?
No. We can't make that claim.
The question isn't whether we can turn every strange event into a prophecy.
The question is:
What does Scripture actually say?
