PAGASA on Tuesday, Aug. 25, said that the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” will continue to affect Luzon even after Typhoon Obet (international name “Saudel”) exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
According to PAGASA, Obet’s movement near the northern boundary of the PAR could further enhance the habagat and bring continued rains over Luzon.
