IIT Delhi में MSc Physics Student Rishikesh Kumar की मौत के बाद Students का विरोध प्रदर्शन तेज हो गया है। प्रदर्शन कर रहे Students ने Rishikesh से जुड़े Hostel Accommodation, Academic Projects और Administrative Decisions को लेकर गंभीर सवाल उठाए हैं। Students का आरोप है कि Student Affairs Office की ओर से Rishikesh के साथ कथित तौर पर “Moral Profiling” की गई। प्रदर्शन कर रहे Students की मांग है कि वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जाए, मामले की Independent Inquiry हो, Rishikesh के परिवार को 1 करोड़ रुपये का मुआवजा दिया जाए और IIT Delhi में Students की Mental Health से जुड़े मामलों के लिए एक Independent Mechanism बनाया जाए।
वहीं, विरोध के बीच IIT Delhi ने Rishikesh की मौत की परिस्थितियों और संस्थान की प्रक्रियाओं की जांच के लिए External Inquiry Committee का गठन किया है। Committee को अपनी Report दो हफ्ते के भीतर सौंपने को कहा गया है। Rishikesh Kumar की मौत के बाद उठे ये सवाल अब सिर्फ एक Student के मामले तक सीमित नहीं हैं, बल्कि Student Welfare, Mental Health Support और Institutional Accountability को लेकर भी बड़ी बहस खड़ी कर रहे हैं।
