Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob pleaded not guilty in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Thursday (Aug 27) to a charge of failing to declare assets, including RM14.7 million in cash and gold bars, as required under the MACC Act.
The offence carries a maximum penalty of five years' jail and a fine of up to RM100,000 upon conviction.
