He wanted to eliminate the Dark Evil ( Jun Jie ) Spirit that had plagued the world for years.
On that day, he went straight to the enemy's lair, ready for a quick finish.
But just as he was poised to strike, the evil spirit suddenly produced a piece of Green Kryptonite and hurled it at Superman.
The emerald radiation washed over him, and for the first time, Superman felt a bone‑deep weakness.
This arch‑enemy before him would be the most dangerous foe he had ever faced, and this battle would surely become the most difficult crisis he had ever endured.
