West coast urban culture in the US is a unique mix of art forms and lifestyles only really known to the people living between Hollywood and gang infested ghettos nearby. The two pillars of this culture are West Coast Rap and Lowriding, both of which became extremely popular in the 90’s with the phenomenal success of artists like 2 Pac, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg or Dr Dre, in the music field but also in the movies and many other outlets like the clothing lines, the ads, the TV shows, etc… “EYES ON THE WESTSIDE” documents this culture and it’s protagonists as they explain its evolution and influence from the late 90’s to today.
