There is no getting away from queues in this land, even for the dead. Since the past one week, the dead brought in at the Chandanwadi crematorium in Marine Lines have had to wait for their turn to be cremated -- sometimes for hours on end. Out of the three electric pyres at the crematorium, only one is working. This means that relatives have a long wait before the bodies of their loved ones are consigned to the pyre.
