The best of British cuisine has undergone a major overhaul to mark the start of National Curry Week (Sunday 21st November 2010).

10 classic dishes have received an Indian makeover from "Br-Indian" Chef, Pat Chapman, the humble Yorkshire Pud topped a survey to identify the nation's favourite regional dishes which would be 'curried' for Cobra National Curry Week. No corner of Britain's 'currinary' map has been ignored in the attempt to spice up the UK.

From Devonshire cream chai (a spice-infused scone served with chilli jam) to Ha-ghee-s (haggis with curry sauce) and from Pie, Madras and Liquor to the Cornish Samosa, curry-fans across the country will be able to brave the new creations at participating curry houses in every region throughout National Curry Week.

Britain's love affair with curry started shortly after the first curry house opened in 1810. It is now widely considered to be modern Britain's favourite national dish.
