One of India's biggest car events, the International Auto Show 2011, began on Thursday in Bangalore city. Many big companies from all over India and abroad took part in the four-day auto exhibition.
The four-day International Auto Show 2011 began on Thursday at the Palace Grounds in India's Bangalore City.
The expo is one of the biggest car events in the region that happens once every two years.
Companies from all over the country have come to take part in the event.
[Cyril Pereria, Managing Director, International Auto Expo]:
"At the International Auto Expo we totally have 140 companies from all over India participating in the show. This is totally for four days, beginning from today for the next four days."
The expo has the wide variety of automobiles on display ranging from about $4,000 to more than $330,000.
Many auto majors including Jaguar, Land Rover, Toyota, Skoda, Mahindra, Honda and Tata participated in the expo among others. A variety of vintage car were also on display.
Besides India, delegates from Japan and Russia also participated in the show.
The exhibition has emerged as a forum to connect buyers from all over the country and abroad in the automobile industry.
