After an interview in Parade magazine, talk show host and incredibly successful businesswoman Oprah Winfrey says that she does not fear the prospect of a possible run for the Presidency by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Winfrey was very helpful to President Obama’s 2008 election effort, endorsing him on her show, helping the fundraising effort, and increasing his profile on a national level when he was still just the Senator from Illinois. Winfrey’s network and contacts pulled in support for Obama from the very beginning and she has become well respected in political circles, largely due to her position as a leader of sorts in the African American constituency. There have even been a few comments made to the possibility of Oprah running for President at some point, now that her longtime talk show will be ending, but Winfrey has laughed off many of those statements.
