24th February 2011. Prince William watched as Kate Middleton anointed a lifeboat with champers today as the couple made their first official public appearance since announcing their engagement. The Prince and his bride-to-be smiled at hundreds of Royal fans ahead of a dedication ceremony for a new RNLI lifeboat in North Wales. He and his fiancée, 29, had remained side by side after emerging from their Range Rover as they arrived in Trearddur Bay in Anglesey.
