North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attends the opening ceremony of a new supermarket in Pyongyang.
The state news agency showed footage of Kim touring the three-storey Mansugyo Meat and Fish Shop.
The agency added that Kim expressed great satisfaction with the soldiers who built the store, and said they should be loved by the people.
There's a food shortage in North Korea - the country has a dysfunctional food distribution system and has suffered from rising global prices and international sanctions imposed over its nuclear and missile programmes.
But one country that is still willing to develop ties with Pyongyang is China.
A new train route linking the two countries has just been opened.
Chinese state television reports that the trains will run tours from Jilin province to a North Korean mountain resort, where holiday-makers can enjoy hot springs and a view of the coast.
The first of the four-day, five-night package tours will set off on April 28, carrying 65 passengers.
