Singapore's Firebrand of the 50s & 60s! Lim Chin Siong was a student activist for chinese education and culture. A Trade Unionist for the workers. An anti-colonialist. Anti-British. Pro-Singapore Independence. He was accosted by Lee Kuan Yew to join them to established the People's Action Party (PAP). Youngest ever PAP candidate electorally elected as Legislative Assembly Person for Bukit Timah in 1955 at aged 22 yrs old. Meaning that he was even younger still whe he was active in student activities and trade union activities! His record still stands today. I don't believe it will ever to broken by any person in Singapore or today or in the near future.
