"The era of cheap gas is over". Those are the words of the Russian prime minister, Vladimir Putin.
The world's largest gas producers are trying to formulate a charter for what some have dubbed as a gas OPEC.
Putin's words will only serve to reinforce the fears of gas importing nations - who worry the new group will fix prices and set quotas for gas production.
