Woody Allen and Penelope Cruz added star power to the opening night of the LA Film Festival on Thursday evening (June 14) with the premiere of their romantic comedy, "To Rome With Love."

Written and directed by Allen, the movie tells the story about a number of people in Italy - some American, some Italian, some residents, some visitors - and the romances and adventures and predicaments they get into. "To Rome With Love stars an ensemble cast that includes Allen, Alec Baldwin, Penélope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig and Ellen Page.

SOUNDBITE Woody Allen saying (English):

"I've gotten great people, and they make me look good. I mean, that's the thing, you hire Penelope Cruz, Ellen Page, or Alec Baldwin or Jesse, all these people, and they're great, they were great before they met me, they'll be great after they leave me, and I exploit them, and I look like a hero, but you know, that's the trick."

"To Rome With Love" opens in U.S. theaters on June 22.

The 18th annual Los Angeles Film Festival runs from June 14 to 24 and will screen 200 films, shorts and music videos from 30 countries.
