World leaders call for restraint

Libyan rebel fighters are experiencing some resistance from Muammar Gaddafi supporters in Tripoli, but the capital is primarily in their hands.

According to the opposition fighters, they are now in charge of eighty per cent of Tripoli.

But, as the National Transitional Council begins planning for a post-Gaddafi country, world leaders have made pleas to the Libyan people to avoid anymore bloodshed.
