The centre of Hurricane Isaac moves just inland over southeastern Louisiana after making a second landfall, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.
The centre of Isaac was about 35 miles south-southeast of Houma, Louisiana and about 55 miles southwest of New Orleans, Louisiana, the NHC said.
Water flowed over the top of a flood defence in southeast Louisiana early on Wednesday, threatening serious flooding, after huge rains caused by Hurricane Isaac, media reported.
