As one of Europe's water reservoirs, the Lake Geneva Region was formed around four lakes : Lake Geneva, which reflects the terraces of Lavaux, Lake Neuchâtel with its fine sand beaches, Lake Morat and Lake Joux in the middle of Jura massif.
