As I descend the bended stairs
I’m blinded by a shaft
of ruddy blaze
which stains the foyer walls.
Tinged with saffron edges,
the flush flowers
seem to pulsate
with radiance.
Through the leaded portal
I regard the sky
awash with purple, pink and gold.
The river reflecting it’s brilliance,
this curtain call of light’s parade.
