Beyond the normal boundaries
the limits of the human mind.
Reality and fantasies
can merge together, be combined.
A world of such insanity
where strange delusions are defined,
can happen accidentally
A place of torture so refined
madness becomes a casualty.
This is the world I occupy
when I am in my manic phase
Where ideas flow continuously
each fighting for the foremost place.
Faster than I can possibly
decide which one I should embrace.
Then suddenly surprisingly
without my will or my consent.
My mind slows down and sluggishly
becomes a realm of discontent.
The world is pressing in on me
with only darkness evident.
I cannot think coherently
in fact I cannot think at all.
My demons lurk malevolently,
they lie in wait to see me fall.
They threaten me continuously
but no one listens when I call.
I wish I could die peacefully
instead of bouncing to and fro
Between extremes which ceaselessly
insist that I go fast or slow.
Am I to suffer endlessly?
to me it certainly seems so.
