That first kiss will ever be
Our first kiss
Perched on the edge of nests
Me on a sunlit cliff overlooking
You in treetop vistas
Together leaping, soaring
That first kiss will forever have
That silly special song
Dim green radio light
Dad's old El Camino
Late foggy summer night,
That night…
I was unsure, then you asked
Are you going to kiss me?
My mouth answered
Not with my voice.
You answered
I was never unsure again
Our last kiss was
Not so long ago
It must have happened
If I knew that was it
I would remember as
I soar alone by the cliff
Gouda Moon
