The eyes,
Are the window,
To the soul,
What do yours reveal?
When your eyes smile,
Are you happy within?
Or merely hiding,
What lies therein?
Do you blink,
To take a rest?
Or are you simply hiding,
What’s in your chest?
Are you closing,
Those windows tight?
When you fall,
Asleep at night?
Just so you,
Can be free to dream,
Free to run wild,
Next to a stream.
Barefoot and content,
Without other eyes,
Watching you closely,
You look for a disguise.
Do your eyes,
Make you feel insecure,
Afraid to reach out,
Afraid to explore?
Don’t be afraid,
Don’t be scared,
Your eyes tell others,
That you truly care.
So reach out to someone,
Look at them dearly,
They’ll reach out to you,
And feel touched, really.
After all, isn’t that,
What life is about?
Connecting with others,
Removing all doubt.
