Chris Cooling takes us back to 1979 with two short-lived television series. It was interesting the memories that Cliffhangers conjured up; I recall The Curse of Dracula, McDonald's, inaccurate weather reports about thunderstorms on super clear and sunny days, and packing a 1966 Catalina for a quick move to Philadelphia. I have no recollection of Supertrain.

Supertrain was an American television drama/adventure series that ran on NBC from February 7 to May 5, 1979. Nine episodes were made, including a 2-hour pilot episode. Cliffhangers is an American drama series that debuted on February 27, 1979 on NBC and ran on NBC until May 1st of that same year.
Note: Some audio clips from Cliffhangers are poor quality due to being 40 year old VHS multi-generation copies. The first part of the show is best listened to on earbuds or headphones.
