The Father delights to give the Kingdom. Hold possessions lightly. Give alms. Let your loins be girded. Keep your lamps burning. Be like servants who wait for the Master. Open at once when He knocks. Blessed is the servant found faithful. The Lord will seat such servants at table. He will serve them in love. Know that the Son may come at any hour. Be watchful. Be sober. The faithful and wise steward feeds the household in due season. He does not abuse authority. He does not drift into sloth. To whom much is given, much will be required. Ask for a steady heart. Choose vigilance over fear. Choose charity over comfort. Let prayer form your daily choices. Offer this time for your home and parish. May the Lord find us ready, humble, and generous.
