Garrett Lund – Almost Grown 1975 (USA, Psychedelic Rock)

Garrett Lund, a West Coast singer-songwriter and former member of the regional band The Caretakers, assembled a solid 11-piece band and recorded a single album. It's now a rarity, as the recording was self-financed and limited to 2,000 copies. It's also known that before embarking on such a risky commercial venture, Lund was rejected by 22 record companies. The album was recorded fairly quickly, and studio promoters were brought in—an excellent cover of Dylan's "Baby Blue" was played on dozens of radio stations, and the first pilot pressing sold out in less than two weeks, a remarkable achievement for a little-known band. But that was where it all ended.
