Black Widow — IV 1972 (UK, Heavy Progressive Rock)
By the summer of 1972, the band was completely demoralized, as CBS Records had terminated their contract. The musicians were forced to produce their next album themselves. However, it was never released, and the recording remained shelved until 1997. After recording five tracks, vocalist Kip Trevor left the band. They attempted to replace him with American Rick "E" (real name Frank Karupa, ex-Plum Nelly), but this alliance was short-lived, and the band disbanded later that year. Clive Jones died on October 16, 2014, Geoff Griffith passed away in April 2016, and Clive Box passed away in October of that year.
