Banyan Tree catches Fire during Vat Savitri Puja in Patna, Bihar! How can we celebrate safely? Tradition shouldn't cost us our heritage! A wake-up call for environmental safety!
A 100-year-old banyan tree in Patna caught fire -
During Vat Savitri Puja!
How did a symbol of long life end up in flames?
It wasn’t sabotage! It was physics!
Hundreds of women wrapped dry cotton threads around the trunk -
and placed burning ghee lamps right beneath them!
One spark changed everything!
No one was hurt, luckily.
But look at this footage.
While some threw water,
dozens stood by,
Recording videos instead of putting out the fire.
This raises a massive question!
These ancient heritage trees are ecological pillars.
When our rituals accidentally destroy the nature we worship -
Aren't we missing the point of the puja?
The fix is simple.
Keep diyas on metal trays, three feet away from the bark.
Protect the tree to preserve the tradition.
