Recent Ukrainian drone strikes are said to have targeted energy facilities in Crimea, which is under Russian control, during the night of June 25, leading to new reports of power outages in Simferopol, Yalta, and around the Balaklava Power Plant. This assault came on the heels of outages reported on June 23, which Russian-affiliated officials claimed affected approximately half of the region’s electrical supply. Ukraine has been intensifying its drone operations in Crimea, aiming at energy, fuel, and logistical infrastructure situated 25 to 200 kilometers away from the front lines. Following a suspension of fuel sales to civilians that began on June 21, the isolation efforts in Crimea are becoming more pronounced.
