This action represents a direct response to American airstrikes on Iranian radar and military sites. The situation escalated following Iran's drone attack on the Singapore-flagged container vessel Ever Lovely in the Strait of Hormuz, which prompted US airstrikes on five Iranian military positions. Kuwait has denounced these Iranian actions as a breach of its sovereignty, while Bahrain has accused Iran of fostering instability in the region. The fragile interim peace agreement established on June 17 is now facing significant challenges.
