On July 9, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a barrage of ten ballistic missiles aimed at US military installations in Jordan, specifically targeting the Al-Azraq air base, which accommodates American, German, Belgian, and French troops. Jordanian air defenses successfully intercepted eight of the missiles; however, two managed to breach the defenses before the IRGC confirmed the attack.
