星王バズーが率いる数々の異星人が集まった宇宙帝国大星団ゴズマの地球侵略が始まった。ゴズマの戦闘員であるヒドラー兵から逃げ惑う隊員たちは惨殺され、絶体絶命のピンチに陥る。その時、地球から光が放たれ、生き残った剣飛竜をはじめとした5人の隊員は演習中にその光を浴びて、強化服をまとった戦士に変身してしまう。自分たちの身に起きたことに驚く5人だが、目の前の危機を脱すべく、襲い掛かるヒドラー兵やゴズマの怪人宇宙獣士と戦って撃退する。

The invasion of Earth by the Cosmic Empire Gozma, a vast star cluster of numerous aliens led by Star King Bazoo, has begun. Members of the team, fleeing from Gozma's combatants, the Hidlar soldiers, are brutally slaughtered, plunging them into a desperate, life-or-death crisis. At that moment, a light emanates from Earth. The five surviving team members, including Kenhiryu, are bathed in that light during their training exercise and transform into warriors clad in powered suits. Though stunned by what had happened to them, the five fought off the attacking Hidora soldiers and Gozma's monster Space Beast Warriors to escape the immediate crisis.
