Atheist YouTuber Milo Vance takes a $1M sponsorship to travel the world and debunk 12 “death-taboo” food superstitions on camera—chopsticks in rice in Japan, upside-down bread in Italy, cut longevity noodles in China, and more—narrowly escaping freak accidents by seconds each time as chandeliers fall, buses crash, and buildings collapse just after he leaves, fueling his arrogance and the myth that he’s untouchable. For his final episode in the Philippines, he mocks the “banana peel = death” trope by dropping one in a crowded Manila market, triggering a 10-step Rube Goldberg chain that links every taboo he defied—sparks, fire, a swerving jeepney, falling AC unit—and after nearly dodging it, he slips on the original peel at the last second, gets crushed by the AC, and is finished off when a knife from his own stunt kit drops through his GoPro into his eye, ending his livestream and turning him into a global cautionary tale that superstition doesn’t need belief to collect its debt.
