The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released an urgent warning regarding two concurrent Salmonella incidents associated with moringa leaf supplement products distributed nationwide. The more extensive outbreak has affected 119 individuals in 36 states, resulting in 32 hospitalizations, with illnesses linked to Live it Up Super Greens powder and other supplements containing moringa. A distinct outbreak has impacted 18 people in 14 states, associated with Mogo brand moringa capsules that were recalled on May 25. The CDC advises consumers that recalled items may still be present in households and urges their immediate disposal. Young children and those with weakened immune systems are at the highest risk for severe complications.
