Ultima Spiaggia – Ultima Spiaggia (Disco Dell´Angoscia) 1975 (Italy, Progressive Rock)
A little-known single-album band from Italy, formed by singer and guitarist Ricky Gianco (Riccardo Sanna). The album is conceptual and very diverse. The tracks are short, but the entire album feels like a cohesive whole. It's 1975. Lodi native Riccardo Sanna turns 32 and is about to make another leap in quality, as he has often done in his life.
At just fifteen, he was the guitarist for the future Dik Dik, and a year later, he debuted with his first 45, "Ciao ti dirò," under the name Ricky Sann, earning him the title of "pioneer of Italian rock 'n' roll."
After a staggering 11 singles and countless artistic collaborations (i Ribelli, i Quelli, Gino Paoli, Jannacci, Celentano, i Rokes), he recorded his first album, "Una giornata con Ricky Gianco," for Jaguar in 1963.
In 1962, he also joined the Clan Celentano, but the experience didn't last long.
